Merry and Pippin meet again after Merry’s agelong ascent; Alan and Dr. Sara Brown meet again after Alan climbs some stairs – nowhere near as dramatic. Join us as everyone’s favorite old woman (not named Dennis) talks about plants as we begin our visit to The Houses of Healing. Merry wonders exactly where Pippin plans to take him; Théoden lies in state; and Éowyn is only mostly dead. We learn that Sara was given books to keep her quiet, and that she digresses like a pro. Finally, Aragorn really knows how to make an entrance.

Where are the links to Help us find Dr. Sarah Brown online?
Sorry about that! Best way to follow her is on Twitter where she is @AranelParmadil
Is there a link to find Dr. Sara Brown’s thesis on Alchemy? Would love to read it!
I’ve been a fan of PPP, and appreciate the attempts to make it lighthearted. But I can’t get past the digressions and interrupting. This episode in particular was frustrating because it seems that Dr Brown can’t say a full sentence in without being interrupted by Alan. As a listener I find it very distracting and frustrating.
Please take this as encouragement. Listening is the greatest show of respect and consideration.
Hi, Nathan –
Thank you for your sincere comments and, especially, for the last bit – that really helps.
One of the unique challenges that last season provided was getting used to working with each new co-host in such a short period of time: sometimes that leads to rough spots, and this (my first PPP episode with the amazing Dr. Sara Brown!) was apparently no exception. I’d like to think that I got better at this over time – but I can’t recall the details of the episodes I recorded a year ago. 🙁 I can say, though, that Sara returned in S8 for an 8-episode run and we’re having a great time recording those currently. Hopefully with fewer interruptions!
Thank you for leaving this comment here, where I can reply to it – instead of on Spotify, Spreaker, Apple, or Amazon!
